In a time of peace, this would probably lead me to lean toward McCain as the lesser of two evils (though I would never vote based on that calculation), but in a time of war, McCain at the helm is a truly horrifying thought. The judges thing is a lie smart people tell themselves to justify a "safe" vote or even a vote for the "home team" party. Pat Buchanan's unforgivable endorsement of Bush in 04 is a perfect example of the "court card" being played for such reasons. Sent at: 2008 08 29
