McCain is NOT a culture warrior, and on these issues has more in common with Ted Kennedy than Pat Buchanan. McCain is going to continue the unchecked expansion of the welfarewarfaresurveillance state. Conservatives need to face up to the fact that McCain is a liberal on every issue that counts , both domestic and foreign. I know that Obama is terrible on domestic issues, but at least he offers the chance of a somewhat sane foreign policy, while McCain doesn't even offer that much. Sent at: 2008 08 30
