Americans are expected to swoon all over black professional athletes out of racial sensitivity, without noticing their bad behavior. Wick-Vick's treatment of his fight dogs and his subsequent support in the "black community" have turned my stomach. Come to think about it, it is impossible to listen to sports commentary these days without having to hear sermons about how courageous black athletes are in the face of white bigotry.
