At best they understand that they also sing as it were within the dimension of time...and their duty is to consider all things to the best of their ability within that dimension as well, which includes a sense of the will of the people, as well as their own sense too under the circumstances, of right and wrong. They today in this case at this juncture in time have weighed-in at the farce of this war on terrorism, Iraq et al., and in effect have said here is our song at the moment - for Christ's sake or for Pete's sake whatever your preference, enough is enough.
