Abdul Wahab, the founder of the Wahabi sect is a product of the eighteenth century. Remember Lawrence of Arabia? He was hand in hand with Abdul Wahab to create an extemist Islam designed in the image of the West's fears of Islam. When in fact more Christians have lived in the heart of the Muslim lands than Muslims ever living in the hearts of any Christian land. and that is the truth. Wahabi Islam is to attack Islam in a two pronged attack. Attack Islam and Muslims from within, for not following their half extremist beliefs which border on craziness. Whereas large chunks of the World were ruled by traditional M Muslims who have shown that many minorities have survived the rule of Islam for centuries. Jews, christians and Hindus among others have clearly surived hundreds of years of rule by the Muslims. What the Saudis represent is an attack on Islam, through their intolerance of other Muslims on one side, and by projecting an offensive and repugnant Islamic creed which has little in common with the Prophet of Islam, who forgave all his enemies and assimilated all the Arabs in a new polity. Neither Moses nor Jesus did what our Prophet did, which is spared the lives of his enemies who were in his hands. Moses had three thousand Jews killed in three days who d dared to challenge him (Exodus 32:27) and Jesus never had control or power over his enemies, so he never got the opportunity to forgive them, as he would have done for sure. Whereas our Prophet had been given that opportunity and he did spare his enemies. How come the Taliban do not follow the Prophet? How come the Saudis do not follow that path of toleration which caused Islam to take root every where. Intoleration is a disease.
