Wilson and Bush II did not make public their real foreign polcy aims until after they were elected; ditto the social programs of the Arch-Keynesian Nixon and Carter. That the South voted so was the result of Reconstruction and Southern Redemption, and the corresponding hatred by both Southern Populists and Bourbon Democrats of Radical Republicanism. Southerners of British origin voted AGAINST Federalists-Whigs-Republicans from 1800 through 1861 and vote FOR Jeffersonianism (our real tradition, not New England's); they voted AGAINST Republicans from 1871-1960, even in 1928, and AGAINST DimmykratS since 1960. We voted FOR Jefferson, Jackson, Polk, Cleveland, Bryan, Davis, Goldwater, and Wallace. WE voted AGAINST Lincoln, McKinley, T. Roosevelt, Taft, McGovern, Clinton, etc. Get the history right.
