This reminds me of a joke I heard in Russia, told to me by a Russian Jew: There was a four-way collision in a Moscow intersection. One car was driven by a businessman, another was a military vehicle, another was a taxi, and another was a politician's Mercedes. Who was responsible for the accident? "The Jews, of course!" For every Russian Jewish gangster like Berezovsky, there's a Russian Jewish poet like the exquisite (and one could argue, essentially Christian in spirit) Boris Pasternak. Multitudes of American Jews voted against Bush and have expressed opposition to the Iraq War, while many American Catholic politicians supported the war (not to mention abortion).
