Message: Entry: Is Europe Waking Up? Link: http://www.takimag.com/site/article/europes_suicide_the_turning_point#3780 Post contents: Certain minds can only think in polarities and dichotomies: e.g., left/right, liberal/conservative, Republican/Democrat, Jewish/Christian, "white"people/"black" people, the West/the rest. When they find an enemy, they categorized him in the opposite camp. Thus Cultural Marxists denominate someone who disagrees with them “fascist”. The Browns label their opponents “Communists”. By so doing, such a group of partisans bring discredit upon themselves and make their opponents, often evil, seem to be innocent victims worthy of sympathy. Whether Paul Gottfried in his new book discusses how Robert Welch and his Society made anti-anti-Communism respectable and themselves laughing-stocks I cannot say. The rest of us know that matters are not only in shades of gray, but also in an entirely different set of colors altogether than just black and white. To rescript a favorite spiritual writer, I have the honor of being burned at the stake by both the “left” and the “right”. Of the two, I prefer those on the “right”. For they openly admit that they hate me; witness many remarks on these pages. To be so burned by the “left” – especially by those Protestants who are “liberal”, those Catholics who are heterodon/sodomite, and teachers of psychology in Departments of Education – is to endure the fate of being burned at the stake in the name of openness, growing, sensitivity, sharing, tolerance, Maslowian self-actualization, Rogerian Fully Functioning Personhood, self-esteem, affirmation, diversity, community, compassion, and luv.
