Link: http://www.takimag.com/site/article/europes_suicide_the_turning_point#3943 Post contents: Dave, There aren’t too many of those neigborhoods left, i mean I’ve a skinny, white friend who just moved to the far reaches of Bushwick (granted her boyfriend is black) and i know a couple of asians/whites who live in Bed Stuy. But i suppose that’s due more to gentrification than overall tolerance. Seriously though, I’m descended from Irish Catholics and Eastern European Jews who came over in the mid to late 19th century. Back then both groups were considered low class, stupid and somewhat sinister people who were going to come to the US and ruin the place for real Americans. Sent at: 2008 05 16
