The stuff about the attempt to contain the "threat" posed by the book made me decide to buy it (same thing happened with Jimmy Carter's book). This, despite the fact that while I agree with the book's thesis and would probably find it an interesting read, I likely would not have purchased it otherwise because of what the _Onion_ has so accurately referred to as "liberal outrage fatigue."
