I think it's ridiculous that anyone is born into this world to have taxes paid directly to them. That is preposterous, and I couldn't care less if the entire British royal family were sent packing by the people they oppress, however low that tax might be. But my feelings concerning this Diana nonsense are encapsulated perfectly by the fictional queen depicted by Helen Mirren in last year's film. At the funeral, with the wild applause ringing out after Diana's brother's eulogy, she touches her finger to her forehead in the hopes of stopping an onrushing migraine. Amen to that, sister.
