My book spends only a few pages discussing the commerce clause, and it says exactly what Adriana is so at pains to announce to the world. In the review above it is Kevin Gutzman whose book discusses the commerce clause at length, though even here, Gutzman's analysis as spelled out in his book is certainly correct. (By the way, Marshall never said Congress's authority over interstate commerce was "exclusive.") Gutzman's point is that the courts advanced an absurd and tendentious definition of "commerce."
