I remember standing next to a Rumanian, a refugee from Communism, during a demonstration against Clinton's attack on Yugoslavia. He said to me, "Kirt, I never thought I'd be saying this, but if the Soviet Union still existed, the United States would not dare to do what it is doing now." I don't mourn the passing of Communism, but until the US melts down or suffers a catastrophe, some power is needed to hold in check the world's only ideologically driven rogue nation which is armed to the teeth with nuclear weapons and eager to use them.
