MSS cites as his "authoritative" source, the Tax Foundation. The TF is one of the older ivory tower think tanks, paid for by the rich businessmen, whose sole reason for existance is propagandize against the progressive income tax. One could hardly cite the Tax Foundation as a unbiased source of data on tax burdens, for good reason.
