However, I suspect that these reviews are not the result of the reviewers inability to see the flaws in Podhoretz’s reasoning and his shoddy and deceitful twisting of facts, but is rather the result of a changed job description. A book reviewer’s job in these days of media conglomerates is not a critical analysis of a new book, but rather a PR essay that promotes a book, if it is in line with the interests of his employer, and denigrates it, if it is contrary to the views of the publisher/owner of the reviewer's journal. Since Podhoretz’s book is a propaganda piece, solely designed to inflame the American public to wage war on behalf of Israel’s interests, certainly any reviewer who works for a Jewish owned publication or where the ownership has an interest in the military industrial complex, will be promoting this book with a good review, if he wants to keep his job.
