I’m no fan of Neocon Bill Bennett, but he stated at the time the notion of using abortion to cut crime was an immoral idea. There is a school of thought that does promote the “abortion cuts crime” theory, and its home is the New York Times. Author Steve Levitt has a blog/column and it promote his book “Freakonomics” which is the bestseller that has promoted the by now dubious claim that abortion cuts crime.
