The only idea or should I say idiosyncracy of de Selby that finds a home in modern thought is his refusal or inability to recognize the difference between men and women which is most apparent in his unfinished biography of Churchill in which he refers to the wartime prime minister as "she" and seemingly under the impression she was French as "Madame Churchill" and "La Churchill". I suppose we have David Irving to blame for this. In fairness I should point out that in at least one case this infliction or inability was shared with Waugh, the English author who insisted that Tito was not only a woman but a lesbian.
