Message: Entry: Sex, Politics, and Gnosticism Link: http://www.takimag.com/site/article/sex_politics_and_gnosticism#6041 Post contents: Yes, sorry, I read your last post way too quickly and clicked into pedant mode before I knew what I was doing. I do think that the Reactionary position is not a final destination: that's how I defined myself 10 years ago after reading Nock and a little Chesterton and Weaver and a few related writers. Time, experience and above all suffering (temporal and spiritual) have softened me up a bit since then, as has seeing where people take some of this (I recently withdrew from a job proofreading a forthcoming Kevin MacDonald collection because I found that my conscience no longer permitted me to associate with that sort of thing). I still like Nock a great deal, but I am more and more trying to separate enthusiasm from morality. Christ appeals to me more than ever now, Christianity less than ever. Sent at: 2008 11 22
