With Israel in the mideast, such a caliphate is very difiicult indeed. With Uncle Sam camped along the Tigris and Euphrates, it is impossible. That amounts to darned good positional warfare. Hold onto it for another 12 to 15 years (most probable) or maybe 30 years (worst case basis) and dreams of caliphate will be no more. We are running but 100 to 1500 battle deaths per year.
