Good to see you notice the difference between merely permitted by God and Ordained by God. St Paul tells us that the Roman Empire is the only Divinely Ordained Government and is not to be resisted, and this is attested to by the examples of Jesus Christ, his disciples and all the roman martyrs who were faithful and loyal subjects of the Roman Empire. All other forms of government including the USA are merely permitted and tolerated by the Blessed Trinity. And it is allowed to resist these merely permitted and tolerated forms of government if these governments enforce bad laws and customs without give offense to the Blessed Trinity. Sent at: 2008 08 29
