Do not forget that there is a class of people who cannot move away on their own: children. Do I need to remind you of the Phoenicians habit of buning children as sacrifices? That or selling their children as slaves. It seems to me that too many of those theoretical constructs part of a base of a 30-year old populaion which arises by spontaneous generation, and remains in their thirties until they spontaneously combust.
