On the Crusades, perhaps I wasn't clear, but I was referring here to the early Crusades, which were conducted for the reasons I mentioned. Back in Part I of "Thoughts on the Antichrist," I think I made it fairly clear what I thought of the destruction of Constantinople in the Fourth Crusade.
