Her writing is often overwrought and could benefit from some good "objective" editing, but is still powerful in places. Whittaker Chambers' review bordered on hysteria. The best thing to do with Rand is read her books with an open mind, and be willing to accept her often fascinating insights, while rejecting her sometimes embarrassing overstatements.
