The True Conservatives of America were called Loyalists and most of them left after the Rev. War. I don't think there is any such thing as a true "conservative" in America. I mean to see Rush Limbaugh call himself the "Dr. of Democracy" and GW Bush pushing for democracy in the Middle East, is the height of ludicrousness. A "conservative" for democracy? A true conservative is a Loyalist, a monarchist. And yes, the first thing our "conservative" government did was implement female suffrage in Iran and Afghanistan!
