Plato, Lord Woodhouselee, and Hans Hermann-Hoppe were correct - eventually democracies bankrupt tjemselves and end up in empire or other tyranny. But ultimately, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. So when the people have absolute power, who is it that ends up being corrupted?
