Someone earlier mentioned what it would take to get Ron Paul on Oprah, and I thought to myself: get him connected to the Scientology weirdoes, a la Tom Cruise. Not that Dr Paul should convert to Scientology, but a good, old-fashioned opportunist would have taken the time to "get in" with Tom Cruise in order to get an invite to be on Oprah Winfrey's popular television program. Hey, when you're running for public office you can't say "no" to being in the popular media, even if the people hosting you are rather weird, like Oprah and Tom Cruise. Also, from my (somewhat limited) understanding of Scientology, they would seem to support most libertarian priciples, correct? Sent at: 2008 07 04
