It would be an interesting investigation. Nobody doubts that the “power” of the Israeli Lobby is the MASSIVE amounts of money they can must into the political system. The Israeli Lobby is pretty sneaky about the money they hand out. From what I can see they don't actually funnel the money directly from the AIPAC. What they seem to do is organize a network of wealthy individuals who contribute directly to politicians and pro-Israeli advocacy groups. For instance, there is the case of Haim Saban, a big Hollywood mogul, who contributed $12.4 Million to various Democrat Party candidates in 2002. By comparison, Enron gave only a total of $6 Million to the Republicans--and that was spread over 10 years! Mother Jones has done some investigation, and it’s really the Democrat Party who is most dependent on big Jewish contributors, not the Republicans. In some ways , the Democrats are worse then the Republicans when it comes to dependency on pro-Israeli Lobby money.
