An interesting conjunction. Abstractions are not necessarily unreal as such, but some are more real than others. The proposition nation is unreal not because it is an abstraction, but because it is a lie. Race is an abstraction from concrete reality with a quantifiable basis - i.e., with the strongest possible empirical foundation. It is itself the foundation of nations - real ones that are not propositional. Mr. Purcell tempts one to think that he is confused about the correlativity of the concepts of nation, race and culture, and the priority of race within that trinity. I was under the impression that this site was a reliable source opinion untainted by liberalism - am I wrong about that? Sent at: 2008 10 06
