We redeemed Christian Catholics gather with the Priest (alter Christus) at the altar to offer the pluperfect sacrifice of the New Covenant and then we participate in the Heavenly Banquet when we eat the New Covenant meal The Eucharist, the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity, of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The Last Supper was the First Mass and through the Priesthood of the New Covenant he established, it is Jesus (daily working through millions of Fr Joan's) who is offering himself to God at Mass, as both priest and victim, as an act of propitiation on our behalf. You protestants made a huge error back in the day when you abandoned worship as Jesus taught us and substituted your own ideological eisegesis as a basis for worship and now your worship services consist solely of your own works - some readings, hymns, and sermon - and you yourselves believe all works are bloody rags. So, I can either choose to worship God as the God-Man Jesus himself instructed and commanded us to do as we daily renew the Covenant, or, I can worship God with bloody rags.
