Acutal patriots who love their country and want to make it a better place are few in number. Led by the South and the archtype Southerner Wilson, the USA has gone on an endless series of wars to enforce the American way of life on every country in the world. Perpetual war for Perpetual peace. Its impossible to get the average American to tend his own garden. No, what happens in Israel, Afganistan, Mongolia, and Fiji keeps him awake at night, and itching to get his gun out and go kill somebody.
