(HnS King) Indeed. "Browns?" Let's be perfectly clear about something; there is no cultural traditionalism that is race-blind. The only way one can become race-blind is to become blinded by an ideology. All others reognize that all men are no more alike than all dogs are alike. This is just commonsense realism. It is what is experienced when in the world with eyes open, and critical faculties engaged. It is touching and sad to read Dr. Cathey's patient but wasted efforts on behalf of Mr. Cundiff. Why plead with such people to be civil, when it is precisely PC enforcement and incivility that he is pursuing? If commonsense realism is to be labeled "brownism" on this site then turnabout is fair play. Nominal "conservative" race-deniers who attack the commonsense recognition of the importance of same should be labeled "pinks." (Not "pinkos," but there is some crossover.)Pinks are a deeply confused lot who recognize alot of important rightist themes, but who have accepted the fundamental guiding principle of liberalism - the principle of equvalence. Liberalism seeks to make equivalence between and among a range of things that are fundamentally inequivalent, but especially race. It is the refusal to make distintions, and the demand that one be utterly indiscriminate. Pinks make this demand in at least this one area. There - I'm happy now. If one side is to be labeled, so should be the other. "Liberalism" is of course the fundamental charge, but is perhaps too vague and ill-defined to have much sting, or so it seems. Sent at: 2008 09 08
