Message: Entry: A Revealing Rally Link: http://www.takimag.com/blogs/article/a_revealing_rally#9979 Post contents: Isn't it time that those among us, who have some influence with our fellow Americans, step up to the plate and show those, who are looking for our leadership in other areas, that we think this is important? Isn't it time we throw our modesty and "we respect your opinion and politics should not be discussed at the workplace" attitude over board and use our standing to influence others? I for one will show my support for Ron Paul at work, I will give everyone of my employees a Ron Paul T-shirt and bumper sticker, and I will engage everyone of them in a discussion about the value of liberty and the inheritance they received from the founding fathers. I will point out to them that their jobs and their way of life are being destroyed by present policies. I will tell them that their children are being sold into servitude by the present government policies of ever increased national debt. And I will tell them that it is important to respect the rights of other nations, as we would like to be respected. As a matter of fact, I am already doing that. Andy Capp is pessimistic about the outcome, but until we have given it our best shot, we will not know; and I for one am not willing to give up and crawl into a hole and just play the role of the unaffected observer. As a (legal) immigrant I am not even able to vote, but I owe it to my five American children, my American friends, and the dream of a civilized society of free men (which attracted me to America), to do my utmost to ensure that America, as it was intended by the founders, does not cease to exist.
