Kevin DeAnna’s new student group Youth for Western Civilization is clearly striking a nerve. Its UNC chapter brought Tom Tancredo to Chapel Hill yesterday and generated tons of leftist high jinks: broken windows, solidarity chains, a gigantic “No one is Illegal” banner, and even something close to a full-on riot! (This, of course, makes me madly jealous, as when I brought Peter Brimelow to Duke in the Spring of 2007, also to speak on immigration, all I was able to gin up were some angry letters to the student paper. I obviously need to take some lessons from YWC in the art of provocation.)
UPDATE: Wow, it looks like Kevin and I were writing Sniper’s Tower posts on the YWC event at the same time.
