I think Colbert is funny, but in the case of this interview he interrupted so much that Pat couldnt get his point across..IE it was not informative.

I hope no one watches a comedy show for information.

I like Colbert because he does an absolutely vicious parody of O’Riley and O’Riley really does not appreciate it. The guy is unbelievable at not getting out of character and I really believe that he is very sympathetic to the paleo like Pat and Ron Paul. I think it was just great to see somebody on tv mention what WWII has done to the world and Colbert did a great job of showing the connection to WWII and Iran and current interventions..

Colbert was fair and funny and Buchanan was terrific.

Very good. But even better was Stewart’s absolute evisceration of Douglas Feith.

Terrific, I just wish Pat had mentioned that the genesis of all of this began when the ink dried at Versailles. For his part,Colbert has one of the best half hours on television. I believe his unabashed commitment to our ideals and way of life is fairly transparent and is couched in a humourous guise that leaves many off balance enough not to grasp his essence. Colbert has a consevative world view and makes a absolute mockery of the neocon tripe.

Wow. I really want to read Buchanan’s book now.
I doubt I’ll start watching Colbert though - that’s a waste of time.

Colbert might be a good guy, I dunno, but the couple of shows I’ve seen weren’t informative. If he’s relatively conservative, then I wish him the best.

The show’s on Comedy Central, not PBS or one of the cable news networks. It’s not really supposed to be informative--if Colbert can get his viewers interested in the topics and books he discusses online so that they will do a bit of more investigating on their own, at least he’s doing something, unlike MTV. Otherwise his show should just be evaluated with respect to its humor.
