Reductio ad Hitlerum

Posted by Richard Spencer on May 16, 2008

I don’t know where to begin…

We seem to be passing from an era in which our president and his intellectual coterie felt that all foreign-policy decisions must be justified in light of 1938 into a new one in which thick-headed “value conservatives” trot out their big value words (damned appeasers!) without even the pretense of knowing what they once referred to.

For the love of God, can’t the people at “Hardball” hire one of the writers from this website, all of whom know a lot about the crucial year of 1938 when George Washington defeated Hitler in the Battle of Waterloo.

Hat tip: Talking Points Memo

I’m pro-Israel too, but does this guy know that Israel is a foreign country, instead of a US State? My God, what a hysterical idiot.. What noise also!  Obama is a leftist, but thank God, that he prefers talks over threats when it comes to foreign policy. That’s not appeasement, that’s sanity.

Are we really the last ones left? Those who prefer peace over war, freedom over security, national souvereignity over transnationalism and free inquiry over crimethink?

Ah well, at least we have Amazon.com. A place where all of us can buy books, so we can store our brain with fresh insights. As opposed to the Kool-Aid “conservatives” and liberals feed us with.

“We’re talking to a blank slate here.” Chris Mathew’s dogged textual question, “what did Chamberlain do in 1938?” in the context of television is obscene in the precise sense of the term, that is “offstage” and out of view.  I’m sure many viewers were as outraged as O’Reilly was when he interviewed Ron Paul: “Ok, Doctor Paul, we don’t need a history lesson.”

The late George Trow explained TV in 1981 in “Within the Context of No Context”:

“The work of television is to establish false contexts and to chronicle the unraveling of existing contexts; finally to establish the context of no-context and to chronicle it.”

TV now looks like a visual representation of a cokehead’s brain with all the banners, glitz, and screaming.  I haven’t watched it in twenty years and I am more concerned with its overflow of acoustic imbecility into the textual rational reserves of The Remnant.

You know, like “Hitler’s plan for world domination,” “extremist militant Islamoviral jihad,” 9/11.

How many times have Netanyahu, Olmert, Livni and many, many other Israeli leaders made the Hitler accusation?

Bush was only being polite to his hosts.

This is a perfect example of “mugging cripples”.  Oh well, entertainment I guess.

Funny how Matthews temporarily assumes the role of a rational human being when confronted by a frightful being who acts as nutty as he normally does.

Ahmadenejhad wants to nuke Israel and America. Bringint up 1938 seems logical.
Genocidal antistemetism and a deranged desire to destroy America as part of creating a new order calls for it.

That said, Kevin James is an ignorant blowhard. He and Chrissy deserve each other.
