Unfortunately, when it comes to the offended, the word “sorry” translates as “Keep going!” They set up protests at ABC studios all over the country. They demanded more apologies from both ABC and Jimmy Kimmel. Eventually China itself got in on the act. At a press briefing in Beijing, Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang told reporters:

ABC should face up to its mistake and respond with a sincere attitude to the reasonable demands by Chinese people in America, and prevent a similar incident from occurring again.

Reasonable demands? These people don’t even have a clear picture of what they’re demanding. They’re talking about boycotting decisions and demanding apologies that have already been made.

Despite Kimmel’s numerous pleas for forgiveness, Chinese Americans marched over to his office and demanded he apologize to them in person. So he came out of his office and apologized to them in person. Then they demanded he apologize on his show. He pointed out that he already had and they responded with, “That was insincere!” He apologized again and even bowed to them”€”twice. “We also need some written apologize [sic] on the website,” one of them shrieked. “I think you should also apologize to all the parents for teaching kids allowing them to kill [sic],” another added. At this point, it seemed they were making it up as they went along.

It’s been a month of apologies and demands, and the Chinese are starting to look downright retarded. Aren’t these the same people who put giant statues and murals of Mao all over their country? Didn’t he kill an estimated 77 million of them NOT as a joke? Isn’t that the same place where female babies’ lives are considered so worthless, some people are reported to be making soup out of them? Aren’t these the same people who went pee-pee in our Coke? This is what happens when you won’t stop bitching about how hurt you are. People want to hurt you.

At the South China Morning Post, a columnist recognized this and warned his fellow Chinamen that they were starting to give each other a bad name. “€œI personally wrote three articles on the subject,”€ he lamented, “€œbut…enough is enough.”€ I couldn”€™t agree more. We have all had it up to here with everybody’s feelings and we”€™re not going to apologize anymore. If something offends you, that’s your problem and nobody else’s. Also, fuck off.
