Rachel McAdams
My, oh my, what juicy relationship drama we have this week. Hook-ups, are-they-or-aren’t-they questions, messy divorces and messy almost divorces are plaguing the broadsheets, and we’re here to sift through the drama so you don’t have to.
New couple alert: Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen (of The Queen are spending quality time strolling around the Canadian beauty’s hometown of Toronto. The kind-of-too-adorable duo met on the set of Woody Allen’s film Midnight in Paris. (Woody certainly knows how to pick couples that last.) Rachel’s been out of the spotlight for far too long, in our opinion, and although we miss the days of McAdams and Ryan Gosling love, this is a pairing of talents that feels right.
After their flirty PDA and united front in the face of cheating rumors, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher probably didn’t expect this. The 21-year-old student who said she had an affair with Ashton while Demi was filming out of town is now saying that the Hollywood couple has an open relationship. Brittney Jones texted her friend “Don’t believe everything you read about Hollywood ‘marriages!’” (What a conveniently coherent message to send…reads perfectly in a tabloid!) Ashton allegedly told her that he and Demi are both with women and he “felt bad that he had been with me and didn’t share.” Now, a fling isn’t that outlandish a rumor, but it feels like Brittney is ruining her slightly believable narrative a little with all these allegations.
Saturday Night Live‘s Fred Armisen certainly doesn’t seem to be hiding that he’s moved on from his wife Elisabeth Moss. They broke up recently after a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it marriage, and he’s been spotted with SNL castmate Abby Elliott. The newbie couple was again caught making out at Riposo 72 earlier this week. As for the Mad Men stunner, she seems to be doing just fine, walking the red carpet in a skintight dress with Jon Hamm on her arm. A girl can’t do much better than that.
Last May we noted the drama surrounding Russian-born art world staple Janna Bullock, who was taking a leave of absence from her post at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation after a nasty gossip campaign started in her home country. Well, the socialite couldn’t escape the spotlight for long. Just a week after she filed for divorce from her Russian politician husband Alexey Kuznetsov, Janna had second thoughts. So the divorce is off and their long-distance romance is back on. He has bigger fish to fry, anyway, as the authorities are reportedly after him to talk about a $1 billion fraud in Russia, allegations he’s called “fairy tales.” At least he can still find solace in the arms of his wife.
When talk show host and woman-about-town Chelsea Handler was spotted lounging with 50 Cent in a New Orleans bar, some thought it was the beginning of this month’s new odd couple. One source said “they were getting very hot and heavy with each other,” and earlier tweets by Fiddy calling her “beautiful” indicated he was interested in the comedienne. Apparently, though, everyone was in a tizzy for nothing. Chelsea, who is recently single, tweeted, “Everyone, calm down. I met with Mr. Cent about a potential project.” Intriguing…and perhaps she could calm down his wild ways? His ridiculous tweets lately have been verging on the homophobic.
