Sans the discussion of his backward Grandma, the sentiments expressed in Obama’s big speech were reminiscent of the rhetoric of another former presidential candidate—the Huckster. (A quick glance at his his comments on unemployment at the PBS debate should suffice.)
Huckabee is of course solidly pro-war (despite his meaningless remarks about the “arrogance” of the Bush administration in his Foreign Affairs piece).
Justin, would you be criticizing the NR staff for the “nearly unrelieved darkness” at The Corner if they were laying into Huckabee for his sentimentalizing of race relations in America?
