Today is the 82nd birthday of Pope Benedict XVI. May he have many more. And may he continue to remind us of the vaule of tradition, as he did in the letter accompanying Summorum Pontificum, his decree restoring the Latin Mass throughout the Church. Wrote Benedict: “What earlier generations held as sacred, remains sacred and great for us too, and it cannot be all of a sudden entirely forbidden or even considered harmful.” To which all traditionalist conservatives can only say, “Amen.”
