…and Brave New World Watch thinks I’m very wrong about Amit Singh, whom I just got back from voting for, by the way.
OK, it might be true that Amit’s not too good on H-1B Visas, but this, quite frankly, strikes me as a mere blemish on a solid limited-government and antiwar platform—and something I’m more than willing to live with.
In other news, a Republican member of the House is going antiwar … yes, yes, yes, we’ve seen it all before, and after “the Surge is working” mantra was put on a continual loop, the stirrings of the rebellion within the GOP quickly ceased. But let’s, at least momentarily, be optimistic that after Voinovich more will follow:
U.S. Sen. George Voinovich (R-Cleveland) is standing by his support of U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for president despite publicly contradicting the presumptive Republican nominee on one of his core campaign issues, saying last night, ‘We need to get the hell out of Iraq’ and supporting a timetable for the withdrawal of U.S. troops.
