After Sarah Palin’s masterful convention speech, the Philadelphia Inquirer ran an op-ed piece arguing that Palin was dangerous because she came from the Pacific Northwest, where “only six counties are more than 5 percent African American.” Over the weekend, the same paper ran another op-ed piece arguing that whites in Pennsylvania should not be allowed to vote. (The author said he was “maybe a little” writing in jest, but it is impossible to imagine any American paper running a comparable piece about minority voters). One wonders what the white leftists writing in the Philadelphia Inquirer will advocate being done to less enlightened white voters if Obama somehow loses.
