Despite all these harmful side effects, the arrogance of these honkies is shocking. On July 4, they wave Confederate and American flags while insisting all Japanese people bow to them. Students wearing Japanese-flag T-shirts are sent home from school. Fights break out constantly between whites and Japanese and many whites get to go to all-English Japanese schools. They”€™re not just allowed to ignore the Japanese. They”€™re actually encouraged not to assimilate. What’s more, most Japanese students must take English as a second language (a common Japanese joke is that they need to learn English so they can tell these Southerners how high to trim the hedges).

Japan has a long history of nationalism and pride. Their immigration policies used to be some of the strictest in the world. The result was a monoculture with very little crime and a real sense of community. They”€™d huddle together on the subway or be shoulder to shoulder at the water park because they felt a kinship with one another. Then, in 1965, Japan decided to completely change their policies. All of a sudden they were taking in just about anybody. White people seized upon this, especially Americans, and today both legal and illegal Americans make up 100% of Japan’s population growth. Without Americans, Japan’s population would actually be going down. One reason for this catastrophe is Japanese guilt. They never got over what they did to the indigenous people of Japan and it’s turned them into cultural kamikazes. Recently Prime Minister Shinzō Abe declared, “€œThe only people who have the right to criticize immigration are the Ainu.”€

I understand their need for change, but they appear to be throwing out the baby with the sentō water and allowing all of Japan to be wiped out by a trailer park. In the end, we shouldn”€™t complain. This is ultimately good for America. It’s just very bad for Japan.
