CHINESE AUTHOR AND FRENCH COMEDIAN JAILED FOR THOUGHTCRIMES
Chinese author Fu Zhubin’s book A History of Brainwashing attacked what he called Chinese authorities’ “ideological control” over thought and speech. As a result, he will be jailed for nearly two years.

On Tuesday, the European Court of Human rights rejected French comedian Dieudonne M’Bala M’Bala’s claim that he was denied his free-speech rights due to the fact that his comments during a live show were “anti-Semitic in nature.” In a brain-twistingly Orwellian verdict, the court ruled that allowing the black comic to exercise his right to free speech “would contribute to the destruction of Convention rights and freedoms.”

At the same event, sleepwalking GOP contender Ben Carson delivered a speech where he repeatedly mispronounced “Hamas” as “hummus,” mistaking the insurgency group for the chickpea-based Middle Eastern condiment.
