Although the OA 206 website has no masthead, its “€œnewsletters”€ are littered with the revolutionary stylings of one Monica Thomas (under her own name, and her Twitter handle, “€œJaneOfEarth“€). The day of the Sanders incident, Thomas bragged in her tweets about her stealth in moving between mainstream and revolutionary left:

It is a struggle for black folks to feel safe in the workplace, to be our authentic selves.

I guess it helps that I”€™m at a pretty progressive nonprofit that intentionally addresses social justice. Heh.

But they ain”€™t ready for my full political analysis. I leave most of that at home. And in the streets with my community.

I emailed Ms. Thomas via Facebook to ask her a few questions for this piece, but she immediately blocked me. So I phoned her at her “€œprogressive nonprofit,”€ and the conversation was comical, to say the least. She initially told me that OA 206 “€œdoesn”€™t exist.”€ When I told her I”€™d been to the website, she claimed that the organization is “€œdefunct.”€ When I reminded her that the website is continually being updated, she told me “€œsomeone must have the password.”€ When I asked how her writing got on the site, she said, “€œI have no idea.”€ “€œThen your work is up there without your consent?”€ “€œI didn”€™t say that,”€ she countered. I then explained the meaning of the word consent, and she agreed that she does contribute work to the site. “€œSo you are involved in OA 206?”€ “€œYes…in some capacity,”€ she slowly responded, before telling me to never contact her again.

Later that day I received an email from a black “€œrevolutionary”€ named Gregory Lewis warning me not to talk to Monica Thomas. Sorry, Marcus Garvey, but that ship’s already sailed.

The members of the mainstream media are only interested in covering the fringe elements on the right. If you ask me, they”€™re missing all the fun. But make no mistake”€”the Sanders incident has everyone on edge, from the Democrat leaders to the “€œburn the cities down”€ revolutionaries to the suits at The New York Times. Because there’s a good chance more BLM “€œloose cannons”€ are going to force this schism into the spotlight as the campaign season becomes more intense.

It will be, if nothing else, very entertaining to watch.
