THE GHOST OF NATHAN BEDFORD FORREST APPEARS IN SELMA
Apparently 50 years ago there was some kind of “€œmarch”€ on some kind of “€œbridge”€ somewhere in “€œAlabama.”€ Hollywood recently made a film about it, and on Saturday Barack Obama spoke at the bridge to commemorate the event, whatever it happened to be.

In an act that may fairly be described as “€œdastardly,”€ a group called the Friends of Forrest”€”referring to Confederate General and subsequent Klansman Nathan Bedford Forrest”€”erected a billboard last week directly in sight of the bridge featuring a gallant painting of Forrest in Confederate garb astride a horse. It also boasts his rallying cry: “€œKeep the skeer on “€™em!”€ Translated into Yankee, this means “€œKeep them afraid.”€

Patricia “€œWizardess”€ Goodwin, who heads Friends of Forrest, denied that her intent was provocative:

That billboard was put there with positive intent to ask people who come to Selma to explore and enjoy our 19th century history. Does it say anything in the Constitution where a certain faction of people cannot be offended? I’m offended by all these people walking around with their pants hanging around their knees.

It must then be inferred that Goodwin’s intent was to “€œskeer”€ their pants back up to their proper place.

The infamous 1965 clash in Selma occurred on the Edmund Pettus Bridge, which retains its name even though it honors a former KKK Grand Dragon.

“€œPRO-ABORTION EXTREMIST”€ ATTEMPTS TO PLOW HER CAR THROUGH A CROWD OF PRO-LIFERS
North Carolina police have arrested 23-year-old Lacey Deese for reckless driving after she allegedly attempted to mow down a crowd of elderly anti-abortion protestors with her car after calling them “€œlosers.”€ According to an observer:

We have pictures of tire tracks in the mud and grass where she came all the way up on the sidewalk. Literally, if they hadn”€™t dove out of the way, she would have mowed them over. It was one of the scariest moments I”€™ve ever had.

As fate would have it, the event occurred outside a clinic that is home to serial abortionist Rob Virmani, who once said abortion helps rid the world of “€œugly black babies“€ who inevitably grow up to become murderers.
